Application Procedure

Follow these steps for optimal results

1

Ensure tiles are fully set and joints are clean, dry, and free of dust or grease.

2

Open the Zectopoxy kit — measure and combine Part A (Resin) and Part B (Hardener) as per the pre-measured ratio.

3

Add Part C (Colored Filler) and mix thoroughly until a uniform, consistent paste is achieved.

4

Apply the epoxy grout into tile joints using the included rubber spreader, working in small sections.

5

Remove excess grout from tile surfaces promptly using a damp sponge before it sets.

6

Allow 24 hours before foot traffic; full chemical cure achieved in 7 days.

Points to Consider

Important notes for best results

Work in small batches — pot life is 45–60 minutes at 30°C.

Do not apply below 10°C or above 40°C ambient temperature.

Clean tools and surfaces immediately after use; cured epoxy is very difficult to remove.

For best color uniformity, do not mix partial kits — use complete pre-measured components.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Zectopoxy

Is Zectopoxy suitable for swimming pools?

Yes! Zectopoxy is anti-fungal, completely waterproof, and chemical-resistant, making it ideal for swimming pools, water tanks, and continuously wet areas.

How is Zectopoxy different from regular grout?

Unlike cement grout which is porous and stains easily, Zectopoxy is a 100% epoxy system that is waterproof, stain-proof, and does not crack or erode — providing a permanent, zero-maintenance finish.

Can I use Zectopoxy in a kitchen?

Absolutely. Its stain-proof surface resists turmeric, oil, and food stains. The anti-bacterial formulation also makes it a hygienic choice for kitchens.

What joint widths is Zectopoxy suitable for?

Zectopoxy works best with joint widths between 2 mm and 12 mm. For narrower joints, ensure the surface is meticulously cleaned for proper fill.

How long before I can use the tiled surface?

Foot traffic is possible after 24 hours. Full chemical cure — and maximum chemical resistance — is achieved after 7 days.

Can I apply Zectopoxy over existing grout?

No. Existing grout must be fully removed and joints cleaned before applying Zectopoxy for proper adhesion and performance.
